Places to visit in London

As the capital of the UK, it is unsuprising that London plays host to a number of amazing events, activities and attactions that collectively draw in millions of visitors to the city each year.

The Oxford Tube enables easy travel to the heart of the action, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have listed some of our favourite places to go on your next visit - all easily accessible from our cental London coach stops.


Buckingham Palace

Visit Buckingham Palace one of London's most iconic landmarks for a glimpse inside one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world.

Travel with us from any of our stops in and around Oxford. Depart the coach at our Victoria Rail Station stop and the entrances to Buckingham Palace are only a five minute walk away.

The City Sights

The London Eye is the world's tallest cantilevered observation wheel and the modern symbol representing the capital. With breathtaking 360-degree views the Eye has been the number one visitor experience in London for the past decade.

Depart the coach at our Victorial Rail Station stop and this global icon is a 25 minute walk along Victoria Street and across the river. Whilst en route, marvel at the delights of Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and Westminster Bridge.

The London Dungeon, Sea Life London Aquarium and Shrek's Adventure can also be found within the vicinity of the London Eye.


The V&A, Natural History Museum & Science Museum

Three great museums on eachother's doorstep. Admission is free so why not pay them a visit for a day full of discovery.

From one of our Oxford coach stops travel to central London to our stop at Marble Arch. From here you can take a scenic 30 minute walk through Hyde park to the museums on Exhibitions Road.

Left you're walking shoes at home? Depart the coach at our Notting Hill Gate stop and travel on the London Underground Circle Line to South Kensington Station for only a five minute walk to your destination. Find your underground fare here.


Notting Hill Carnival

The streets of West London come alive every August Bank Holiday weekend with Europe's biggest street festival celebrating Caribbean culture, talents and creativity. This year the carnvial is on the 27 and 28 August.

Travelling from Oxford? get off of the coach at our Notting Hill Gate stop and you'll be just minutes away from the main events around the streets of W10 and W11.

Not quite carnival season? Why not pick up something quirky at Portobello Market, particularly bustling on Fridays and Saturdays with its endless varity of merchandise and just a short walk from our stop at Notting Hill Gate.


Westfield London

Looking for great fashion and retail, dining, leisure and entertainment all under one roof? Westfield London has the answer.

Our coach stop at Shepherd's Bush couldn't be more convenient for a day spent shopping - only a five minute walk to the centre entrance.

With coaches up to every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day you can shop 'til you drop - right up until closing!


Hyde Park

Hyde Park is a beauty in it's own right, but it also plays host to some of the Capital's best concerts and events. June and July sees Barclaycard's British Summer Time light up Hyde Park with live music, comedy acts and pop up pubs, bars and food stalls.

Leading up to Christmas, Winter Wonderland includes a host of festive fun and activities the whole family can enjoy - don't forget kids travel free on the Oxford Tube any day of the week with a fare-paying adult!

Our coach stop at Marble Arch is only minutes from the entrances to Hyde Park.
